History

Sisters in the Journey (SIJ) began on January 1, 2005, as an opportunity for women to connect, share life goals, fellowship, and encourage each other through the development of annual goals and accountability to reach those goals.

The group started with twenty-eight ladies that were willing to be accountable for setting goals.

SIJ began having bible study classes in January 2009, as a way for women to go deeper in their spiritual growth. During the last 13 years of our journey, we have studied from several different books and themes.  To culminate our bible Study and reinforce the spiritual points of the bible study we host an annual women’s retreat and activities that connect the women throughout the year.

SIJ developed and implemented core values that govern the direction and focus of the ministry. Our values include Connecting, Praying, Learning, Fellowshipping, and Sharing.
